Our First Annual Pickleball Tournament at “The Tennis and Pickleball Club at Newport Beach (Club) was a resounding success. We raised more than $24,000, players and guests had a wonderful time, and we were able to expose folks to the incredibly successful Collaborative Court programs as well as the Foundation’s role in that success.
The tournament success was due in large part to Investors Philanthropic (IP), Valentina Khan, one of IP’s principals, Sean Bollettieri owner of the Club and the Club staff. IP, Valentina, and Sean donated the venue, donated the food (delicious), and managed the tournament. We also want to thank Joy of Giving, a project of Investors Philanthropic designed to bring awareness to the many important and needed causes in our community. We are forever grateful for their generosity, expertise, and involvement.
Our sponsors also deserve much of the credit for the success since raising funds was the objective. Many thanks to Bremer Whyte, Michelle Reinglass, Eric Traut, Joe Chairez, Nikki Miliband, Zipser Umberg, Ted Wacker, and Anthony Maurillo. We also want to thank members who organized teams for the tournament.
Finally, we want to thank Judges Cooper, Anderson (Ret.), Kreber and Kreber-Varipapa for playing or attending. Your support of events such as this one demonstrated your commitment to the programs, the participants, and the Foundation.
So, as you can see by the Save the Date Card – we have scheduled a Third Annual Pickleball Tournament for November 8, 2025.
Please join us at one of the premier venues in the United States – The Tennis & Pickleball Club at Newport Beach – for fun, food and great pickleball.
We invite one and all to compete in our Third Annual Collaborative Courts Foundation (CCF) Charity Pickle Ball Tournament. We have four great ways for you to enjoy the day and help us raise much needed funds to support the incredibly successful Collaborative Court programs and CCF’s work supporting the Courts by helping participants stay housed, fed and healthy.
First, if you are a member of an organization (affiliate bar, OCBA division, section, or any other type of organization) put together your team of at least six and compete for the Organization Team Trophy.
Second, if you are not a member of an organization but want to compete as an individual or for your firm – buy a ticket for the Non-Organization Team Trophy and play with a friend (or we will assign you a teammate so you can compete).
Third, don’t know what pickle ball is but would like to learn or play a bit, buy a Non- Tournament Fun and Friendly ticket.
Fourth, want to see the fun, root for your team, and have some great food and drink, buy our Social Non-Player ticket.
It all goes to a worthy cause so don’t miss out on the fun and join us.
